Mary Boucher recently appeared in Steel Magnolias after moving to Maine from Connecticut. In the 80’s she did summer stock and made commercials in NYC then began a ten year journey across the country acting in five First National Tours: Oklahoma!, Agnes of God, Brighton Beach Memoirs, California Suite and Who’s Life Is It Anyway? In LA theater credits included: Picnic, The Miser, The Boys Next Door, Equus, God’s Country and 411 Joseph. Film and TV credits: Boston Legal, The Bernie Mack Show, The Remembering Movies, and A Month of Sundays. Now Improv! Steve and a great gang of misfits...what luck!
Before Steve Burnette donned the director, producer, and hack-writer chapeau he trod the stages performing in a number of roles at any theater that would have him, including P.T. Barnum in Barnum, the Sergeant of Police in Pirates of Penzance, Applegate in Damn Yankees, Joe/Josephine in Sugar, Stephen/Jesus in Godspell, Bob Schroeder in Beau Jest, Andrew Rally in I Hate Hamlet, Jack Palmer in The Boys Next Door, Mark in Kennedy's Children, Officer Lockstock in Urinetown, Paravicini in The Mousetrap, Jack Worthing in The Importance of Being Earnest, Amos Hart in CHICAGO, and Clive Winton in See How They Run. Steve hopes this partial list has impressed you enough, and if not then maybe knowing he played Hiawatha and Hiawatha's mother 239 times across the country to thousands of kids in more than 30 states might.
Steve Corning puts dinner on the table for his two cats by making a fool of himself on stage professionally. A Maine native and Celebration Barn alum, Steve has performed 700 shows across the US and internationally as a juggler and improviser. When he is not making stuff up or balancing ladders on his face, Steve writes electronic music, and feeds his crippling roller coaster addiction.
Amanda Eaton holds a B.A. in Theatre and Minor in Dance from UMaine. She studied Improv, Music Improv and Sketch Comedy at Second City. She’s had the pleasure to perform, direct, choreograph, write, sing and teach her way through Chicago, Milwaukee, Philly, NYC, Rochester, NY and dear old Maine.
Nate Greene has returned to the stage after a 10 year hiatus. He has recently entered the realm of improv and could not be happier and more thankful for surrounding himself with such a talented and supportive team. Nate works in patient services at a local medical office and lives in Portland with his lovely wife, two crazy kids, and one neurotic corgi.
Dave Hanright is a New Jersey guy, but he wants you to know he has lived longer in Maine than he did in New Jersey! And his three kids are all Mainers, so get off his back already! Dave has taught Visual Arts and Theater at Thornton Academy in Saco since 1994. He serves on the board of the Maine Drama Council and is a Maine state representative for the New England Drama Council. He wants to thank his incredible wife Carol for all of her support with this new adventure!
Dennis Hunt, codename: Dennis Hunt aka “that guy named Dennis....Hunt”, first performed in his mother’s womb years ago. After that it was pretty much all fun and games. Actor/improviser/stand up Dennis has watched them all. If you are reading this then Steve’s plan is almost complete. Please stop him!
Samuel L. Kuykendall has been performing improv on stage for nigh on close to 10 years. Perhaps best described as a 37 year old, 6’1”, heterosexual Male, Samuel could also be called Caucasian. In addition to performing improv with four different comedy troops in Maine, Sam is also an artist, writer, and a musician. These pastimes help immensely to alleviate a chronic allergy to money that Samuel seems to have.
Bob LeBlanc has been performing and writing since the 90s. He is an award-winning playwright, improviser, actor, graphic designer, artist, illustrator, and owner of Sleuths Mystery Entertainment. His plays have been produced across the country. Most recently, his short play "Familiar" was produced coast to coast both off-Broadway and in Los Angeles.
Actor and storyteller since birth, Molly McGill has always been a sucker for the limelight. She is the host for Maine’s Got Talent, performs as part of the cast for Mystery for Hire and Mainely Improv, and is excited to be surrounded by so much funny at The American Chamber of Comedy. She’s a wife, mother of two precocious pixies, daytime copywriter, and lover of life, laughter and music.
Marie Stewart Harmon has been improvising on and off for over a decade and is thrilled to be sharing the stage with such a talented group of people. Returning to Maine after graduating from Manhattanville College, she joined her family business, Lisa-Marie’s Made in Maine, supporting the creativity of Maine’s artisans and craftsmen. Marie is a professional actor, model, and improviser working with a variety of Maine theatre companies and spends every spare minute loving her two perfect dogs and insanely patient and handsome husband.
Joe Swenson has been doing improv since he was yay high. His creative endeavors include; improvisation (7 troupes over 29 years), acting (stage, film, television, and commercial), directing (theater), authoring (Letter #3), playwriting (Broken Arts Productions), etc. Probably surprising to some, he is also a Vice President at the largest company you’ve never heard of and is a Motivational Speaker. His favorite role is husband to Jamie and father to his boys.
Tuck Tucker Harold “Tuck” Tucker is one of the founding members of Running With Scissors Improv. Tuck has over 18 years of Improv and Stand-Up Comedy experience and was a featured member of “Instant Comedy!” Improv back in the late 1990’s. Tuck is also an accomplished stand-up comedian even performing on HBO’s Lucky 21 Stand-Up Comedy Contest in NYC.
Andrew D’Angio White, whose last name rhymes with “banjo fight,” has been doing improv and theater on and off for two decades. Having taken part in improvised shenanigans in Washington, DC and Rochester, NY, he’s thrilled to be joining the incredibly talented American Chamber of Comedy cast! When he’s not making things up onstage, you can find this Episcopal priest in church, probably asking for forgiveness. He lives in Kennebunk with his lovely wife, wonderful children, and mediocre cat.
